Community Montessori School has Infant, Toddler, Primary, Kindergarten and for your convenience a Before and After care program.
INFANT
3 MONTHS – 18 MONTHS
Infant Program ration is 5:1
Our Infant Program is designed as a foundation for our school’s educational philosophy. The infant program is ideal for families who want their child to participate in Montessori activities as early as possible.
TODDLER
18 MONTHS – 3 YEARS
Our younger toddler program has a child teacher ratio of 5:1
Our older toddler program has a child teacher ratio of 8:1
The Toddler program at Community Montessori School is geared to the unique stages of development of the our growing students. Our objective is to provide a safe and independent learning environment with curricula concentrated in cognitive, social, motor, and language development areas critical to the growth of young children.
PRIMARY
3 YEARS – 6 YEARS
Our primary program has a child teacher ration of 10:1.
Between 18 months and three years, toddlers like to exert their independence as they develop cognitively. They experience growth spurts physically and cognitively; they begin to speak in short sentences and understand concepts. Staff at Community Montessori School will encourage these leaps in development and encourage social activities, since this is the age when they begin to enjoy playtime with other children.
KINDERGARTEN
5 YEARS – 6 YEARS
Our kindergarten program has a child teacher ration of 10:1.
Our full-day kindergarten allows those who are eligible to continue their quest for knowledge in a small group environment. Students who turn five by September 30th are eligible for our kindergarten program. Students attend the Montessori classes in the morning. During afternoon kindergarten, students go to another classroom with a Montessori teacher and a full set of age- and ability-level materials. Students work on advancing their academics, along with receiving individual tutoring in reading and handwriting skills.
